The federal government has announced that Canada’s borders are closing to all except Canadian citizens, Canadian permanent residents, effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020. This means that incoming international students who intend to begin their program of study in April 2020 will be unable to travel to Canada. In light of this, Northeastern University is recommending that students defer admission to Fall 2020 intake. Please contact CPS Admission by emailing: if this is the option that you would like to pursue.

Immigration Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has published a series of special measures to help temporary and permanent residents and applicants affected by the COVID-19, please see the IRCC website here.

The Office of Global Services (OGS) will continue to monitor the situation and will be in constant contact with Canada’s immigration, government, and public health authorities. If the situation should change, we will contact you with updates.
