The Office of Global Services provides an array of services to international students who are currently enrolled in a Northeastern degree program in Canada.
Our international student advisors are certified by the international Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and have years of experience working with students in a post-secondary setting. Not only are our international student advisors immigration experts, but they are also able to help students adjust to a new country and connect to relevant campus resources.
International student advisors can help current students with questions about:
- Study permits
- Working on and off campus
- Co-op work permits
- Post-graduation work permits
- Permits and TRVs for spouse/common-law partner and/or children
- Inviting family to visit
- Government of Canada resources, such as how to get a Social Insurance Number
- Campus resources for adjustment to life in Canada
Advising sessions are reserved for students who are currently enrolled in a Northeastern degree program. Make an appointment here.
Resources for prospective students:
If you are a prospective student or you have confirmed enrollment but have not yet begun classes, please join one of our regular webinars to connect with an international student advisor about general inquiries. These bi-weekly sessions cover topics related to the study permit application, preparing for travel, and COVID-19 accommodations.
